Section - General

The ‘General’ section contains general settings for smartWrite.

Data root: smartWrite reads several text file based configurations from a common data directory. By default, it points to a ‘cragl’ folder in your home directory. You can however change this path by purpose. This brings the advantage that you can use the same settings across multiple machines. So for example, you can use the same configuration in your team or change configuration individually per show, etc. as needed. Click the folder icon to browse to a data root. Click the reveal button next to it to reveal the folder in your explorer. If you are fine with the path click the blue ‘Set’ button.

Custom shortcut: Launch smartWrite Settings Window: Here you can set a custom shortcut to launch the the smartWrite main window, where you can access and adjust all settings for smartWrite.

Custom shortcut: Launch Output Settings Window: Here you can set a custom shortcut to launch the output settings window. The output settings view lets you trigger several custom actions for your output nodes. For more information on the output view see Output Settings Window page.
