Rescue broken working files
smartRescue lets you repair working files that won't open anymore. It offers several so called steps that run over your working files to update them so that you should hopefully soon be back working in your files.
Launch in Nuke and standalone
smartRescue can be run in Nuke and as a standalone application. We also provide baked executables that you just double click to launch.

If you have some programing knowledge, you can easily create your own steps and share them within others.

How do I install smartRescue?
Each cragl tool can be installed via cragl connect - our free tool to install and manage all of your cragl tools directly inside NUKE. If you haven't already done so please download connect.
By opening connect you will see a list of all cragl tools. You can drag and drop it to the right hand side of the connect window to reveal more infos. Just click on "buy". After purchasing you will receive an install code for your tool. Now simply click "install now" and enter the received install code. The tool will be downloaded and installed automatically for you. So you don't need to struggle with any install issue.
double clicking the executable raises a permission denied error
If you don't have permissions to double click the executable and run into a 'permission denied' error then you can change the file permissions for the executables. To do so, open a terminal window and type in:
sudo chmod 777 /path/to/executable
Please make sure to update the path the the actual executable file accordingly. Press enter, type in your password and hit enter.
