Project reports

You can export your current project status to a pdf (Only available up to Nuke 10.5 [1] ), html and csv. This can then be send to your producer and your artists.

The pdf and html version show an overview of the work that has been done and shows all shots including status and notes of the current time.

The csv file export can be used to move the project data out of smartLib. In can then be re-imported back into smartLib. This enables updating shot details outside of smartLib. For more information about importing csv files back into smartLin, please refer to importing data from csv file.

To export your current project status, open smartLib, set your project that you like to export to the current project in the middle project section.

Right click the current project section and choose export project report.

This lets you choose from exporting in pdf, html and csv format.

A browser pops up which lets you choose where to save the pdf to. By default, the browser points to the desktop. You can set a custom starting point in the settings in the custom project report path under Status/Report.

Please see settings - Status/Report for more information.

A pdf and html project report will look something like this:

Unfortunately, since switching PySide in Nuke-11, PySide-2 is missing the required QtWebKit which allowed exporting PDFs. We don’t want to complicate the tool installation by forcing the user to install any third-party dependencies and that is why we decided to remove the functionality to export project reports in PDF format since Nuke-11.

However, you can still create PDFs using a workaround: Simply export your project report in HTML format, open the exported HTML file in your browser and print the page by using CTRL+P (Linux, Windows) or cmd+P (MacOS). In the print dialog you can choose to save the file as PDF instead of actually printing it.
